Our weekend

Guess what broke the day before we left to go away for the weekend.  My dh said if we see the dishwasher repairman any more we're going to have to buy him a Christmas present.  Well, at least we bought the extended warranty, which pd for itself a long time ago.  Do you think it has anything to do with how often this thing runs with a homeschooling family of 9?  And...of course we never really realize it's broken until we run that last load through again, thinking someone didn't actually turn on the dishwasher.  We are using paper plates and plastic cups right now.

Snowmobiling:  A mix between the thrill of riding a machine with lots of power through the fields and ditches....and riding the beautiful trails through the woods and stopping to enjoy the scenery.

Logan loves it too!

Small Successes

For more small success stories click on the link above.

1.  I stayed up late one night and watched Braveheart with my dh.  Well, I did miss maybe 1/3 of it because I kept closing my eyes.   When I bought it for him I didn't realize it was THAT gory.

2.  Got to the fitness center 3x last week despite some obstacles that threatened that goal.

3.  I've gotten back to consistently doing my daily spiritual reading.  I only spend about 15 minutes a day but it is both physical down time and spiritual up time.

Visualizing Obama's 100 million dollar budget cuts

This video explains Obama's $100,000,000 budget cuts quite well.  It's less than 2 minutes.  My kids loved it too.

It's never good to lose a planner

I frequently misplace my planner.  Well,  I really don't misplace it.  I just don't place it where it belongs.  And, since each of my kids is responsible for zoning a room each day, if it is in their area, they will put it where they think it belongs.  It's not funny when I cannot find it.  Everything is in there.  Ask me what we are having for dinner tonight and I will look in there to tell you.  If it's something that needs thawing I would have noticed that this morning right after my prayer time, then, it's out of my head.

I have a ton to do this week (which is why I am posting, right?  but I thought this was funny).

I was looking all over for it yesterday.  I knew there were things on my list that had to be done that day.  And, yes, the kids were asking what was for dinner and I really had no idea.  So, here I am running....no...walking quickly :) around the house searching in every room and asking everyone I see, "Do you know where my planner is?"

My 13 year son approached me and said he didn't know where it was but I was welcome to borrow his.  Hmmm....Thanks....
