S is for sorrow

One of our baby chicks died. We could tell early on that this one didn't seem as healthy as the rest.  Now we have 7.  Our goal was 6 - but we bought 8 knowing that we could have some losses.  But, extra sad because each of the kids named one.  Would have been easier if it was the one that was named for Abigail.  At 4 months, she delights in watching them, but I don't think she can count to 8 yet :)
