What the neighbors must think!

For the sake of this post, you should know that Sunday around here is a day of rest. We try our best to limit our activities to religious pursuits and leisure.  You should also know that since I was young enough to toddle into the yard, mud pies have been a favorite activity of mine!  The opposite is true for Prince Charming. My MIL used to send him out in his pristine white outfit and he would return without a smudge - pristine white outfit and all.  Anyhow, now that I am grown (I still refuse to think of myself as a full fledged adult) the closest I get to mud pies is digging in the yard and garden.  Prince Charming, however, would find this to be anything but leisure.  I guess the saying "opposites attract" is sometimes true.

If you were one of the couple dozen cars that drove by our front yard this afternoon you must have had to look twice.   There I was digging out the dead tree along the street.  The hole was quite large and I was certainly sweating in the 85 degree heat. Beside me was none other than Prince Charming.  He was reading and offering guidance from the comfort of his pink lawn chair.  I wondered aloud what the neighbors must think.  Prince Charming assured me that one has to be very secure in his manhood to be able to sip ice water from a pink chair while watching your wife dig out a tree all within eye shot of the neighbors.

But the real question is....did he move his chair out of the way so that you could easily get into the house to fix dinner too?

Yes, he was kind enough to move his chair so I could come in and fix dinner and he even let me have a sip of his water!
