Where did he get that from? ...

And I am so hoping he did not make it up....

For those of you that know me in real life, you know that we do not have a lot of media in the house. We have no tv. Internet access is restricted to observed computer time. The boys do not have access to ipods or game boys etc. The friends homes that they visit know our rules and know that the boys will not be returning if rules are broken. Yes, I am "one of THOSE parents."

In general there are not a lot of times that I have to ask "Where did you learn that from?" But this evening I walk by Jude as he is singing the line "Don't you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?" over and over. Ugh, not good.

So I ask, "Jude, where did you learn that song?"

He thinks. "I don't know. I think I made it up."

At this point, I am less concerned about where he picked it up at as I am that he could make up something like that. So, I googled it. BIG MISTAKE. There are some not nice websites out there. But I am sure that he did not make it up, whew! Now where did he get it from- that I am still clueless on.

O.K. mine get exposed to slightly more media than yours and I can't say I've heard this one! But, maybe he heard one of the neighbor kids singing it? Luckily I'm willing to bet Jude doesn't have a clue what he's saying. Wyatt sure wouldn't! But ya gotta wonder, what makes them repeat something like that over and over!

P.S. Ever hear of CAT CHAT? It's awesome, I can't get the lyrics of those cute little songs out of my head. Maybe Esma will need an extra b-day gift this year (tee hee)

Never heard of Cat Chat. I will have to Google it. Google is my friend these days.

I found out that the song was on Alvin and the Chipmunks the movie. Which was on at the doc's office last time we were there. How he remembers it three months later, I am not sure. But this is the child who memorized a third of the multiplication facts at 5 so that he could beat his brothers to the answer.

why do they have to put that on a "kid's" movie?
